Making the decision to use new materials is difficult because you need to test the each new material for applicability to the current materials being used. I have decided to use colored pencils because they lend themselves to infusion with existing color patterns, By working in the colored pencil over acrylic , watercolor gives a rich deep color and surface variants. Collage can be used to alter the composition or make subtle changes. It can be used to enhance, detract, lighten, blend the texture. Material suitable for collage can be any paper or sheet that can be affixed to the existing paper surface substrate. I tend to use fast food wrapping papers, Christmas tissues and pieces of colored paper work as well as well as tracing paper. brown paper wrapping and brown paper bags also.

I continue to look at the landscape as an expressionist.
As I see Terrain, it is how the land is laid out not necessarily what it is or the layout of the land, water or city for that matter any plane surface including a figure study. It is not so much as what we see as it is the feeling of the expanse. The rendereing of the surface elements.

Since I have been unable to work on my own Art because I was working on the box for gift collection for Jessica’s and Kisme‘s wedding in April. I have had no luck Art getting anything done.
I am lucky that I had started two landscapes before the ruckus as well as a portrait.The two Iandscapes I have subsequently finished and published to the web.I am still working on the portrait and hope to be finished quickily.

Well I was thinking that since its the new year I would ramp up my painting.
But I also tough what's the reason to do this I'm approaching 70 and don't feel as if I would likely hit it big in the Art world any time soon.
So I'll just plodding along doing what I want. No dive for the prize, I already have it.
